KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 10): Sabah-based property developer KTI Landmark Bhd’s (KL:KTI) Taman Seri Lemawang landed residential development in Tuaran, Sabah, has received a Special Award of Excellence in Construction under the Construction Industry Development Board’s (CIDB) Sabah Qlassic (Quality Assessment System in Construction) Programme 2023 at the CIDB Sabah Awards Ceremony held at Hilton Hotel, Kota Kinabalu, on Sept 4, according to a press release Tuesday.

KTI Landmark executive director Wilson Loke said in the statement: “This Qlassic award is a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality and innovation. It not only reflects our high standards in construction but also enhances public confidence in our projects. We are proud to demonstrate the effectiveness of the IBS (industrialised building system) method, which has played a crucial role in meeting the stringent criteria required for this award.”

Taman Seri Lemawang is developed by KTI Landmark and Lembaga Pembangunan Perumahan Dan Bandar (LPPB). It consists of 811 units of double-storey houses with prices starting from RM250,000. The development comes with facilities such as a central park, jogging track, basketball courts, gazebos and a playground. KTI Landmark has handed over 559 units to homeowners since 2022.

Taman Seri Lemawang is part of a larger 168-acre site that includes Residensi Seri Akasia (480 apartment units spread across six blocks priced from RM150,000) and Plaza Lemawang (60 shoplot units priced from RM608,000).

The statement added that KTI Landmark’s wholly-owned subsidiary and contractor KTI Sdn Bhd also received a 4-star CIDB Score for 2023 at the same awards, an improvement from the company’s previous 3-star Score in 2018 and 2020. The CIDB Score evaluates contractors on various criteria including workmanship quality, project timeliness, cost management, safety, environmental impact and overall project management.

“The CIDB award is a crucial benchmark in the construction industry, and our improved rating is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to excellence. This achievement serves as a motivational milestone for us as we aim for a 5-star rating in the upcoming assessment. It reinforces our goal of achieving even higher standards and delivering exceptional value in all our projects,” said Loke.
